Ordering, Shipping & Return Details

Shipping:

Orders are shipped Monday through Friday by your choice of either USPS, UPS Ground, or Federal Express. Most orders are shipped within 2-3 business days. Expedited orders must be received before Noon EST for same day shipping and may require additional postage. Shopping cart calculates shipping costs based on weight. Due to the uniqueness of many products we carry, shipping locations, and dimensional weight on some items, it is impossible for the cart to figure out exact shipping charges 100% off the time.  If by chance the cart calculates incorrect shipping charges, we will contact you prior to processing your order if more shipping charges apply, or refund your credit card in the case of an overcharge. If you need a particular service or have questions about whether we can expedite an order please call us directly and we will do our best to accommodate you!

Out of Stock / One of a kind Items:

From time to time, stock shortages may occur. If an item is out of stock, we will backorder the product unless instructed not to. When the item arrives, we will ship it to you at no additional cost. We also carry many unique one of a kind treasures! In the event you place an order online and the item in question has been sold, you will be contacted and advised if there is a comparable item available.

Price and/or Description Changes:
All pricing, pictures and descriptions on this site and in our store are subject to change without notice.

Sales Tax:

Sales Tax is added only to orders delivered within Connecticut. The state of CT requires that we charge sales tax on the full amount of the order including shipping charges. When applicable, sales tax information will be displayed in your shopping cart along with other pricing information that pertains to your order. The current sales tax rate in Connecticut is 6.%.

International Orders:
Duties, taxes and customs are the responsibility of the consumer and must be paid upon receipt of the shipment. These rules vary by country, and your local government determines duty and customs charges. All international orders must be paid for by credit card.

Lost or Damaged Shipments:
Please inspect all merchandise upon receipt, making note of any visible damage or discrepancies. If there is more than one box, please verify that the number of boxes received matches the number of boxes on the packing slip. You have seven (7) days to report any damaged or missing items to us (includes Saturdays and Sundays). If you feel you have a defective product be sure to read the manufacturers warranty. Most manufacturers prefer to deal directly with the end user on any warranty issues. Any questions please call us at 1-860-443-4367.

Return of Online Orders:

If you get something shipped via our online store and want to return it, no worries!  Give us a call or email us within 8 days of when you receive the item. We’ll give you a Return Authorization number and you can send the item back within 7 days of getting the RA number. Please be sure to get the RA number because we can’t accept the return without it. We cannot be responsible for lost or damaged returns so please insure to protect yourself. Refunds or credits will be issued after the product is received in our store and inspected. Returns for full credit cannot be used or worn, and must be in their original condition and packaging, and all original tags must be attached. We reserve the right to decline the return of items that don’t fit our policy.

Some things to keep in mind as you are shopping:

Jewelry can only be exchanged for store credit, no cash refunds. All sales are final on any sale/clearance items, special orders, and modified, discounted or altered items.  Books, rough minerals, earrings, hats, plush toys and antiques are not returnable. Many of our minerals and fossils are one of a kind. Some photos are representational only so keep in mind these one of a kind treasures will vary naturally.
