Stylemys Nebrascensis was a land tortoise that lived 34-24 million years ago. Fossils of this tortoise range in size from 5 cm to 1 meter in length. It had no teeth, so it's diet consisted of shrubs, grass, cacti & insects. Fossils of this animal have been found in the western United States, particularly in Nebraska & South Dakota.
This excellent specimen measures approx 4.5" x 4" and has one section of the carapice above the head of the turtle which comes off to reveal the skull and forelimbs. A truly unique find and excellent addition to any collection! Tell A Friend
